Below you will find answers to commonly asked questions about the Sentada and the general retreat experience. If you do not find the answer to your specific question, please reach out to us through the contact form at the bottom of the page. 

Are children welcome?

Yes, the Sentada is a family-friendly event and children are welcome.  If you'd like your child to join, please specify this on the registration form and come prepared with food that will meet their needs as well as other supplies that may be needed to keep them comfortable. 

Can I stay off-site and still attend the Sentada? 

No, all participants are required to stay on-site at Rushing Waters for the duration of the Sentada. 

What can I do during the "free time" in the afternoon? 

Recommended activities are weaving, connecting with nature, or journaling.  We recommend getting good rest and taking advantage of down time during the sit.

Do I have the option to participate for part of the retreat? 

No, the Sentada is a full, immersive 5 day experience. If you wish to participate, you are required to join for the entire retreat. 

Can I take my medications during the Sentada? 

Yes, generally you can. Please specify on the registration form what medications you take. 

Do I need any prior meditation experience to attend? 

No, there are no specific requirements prior to attending Sentada. We ask that you come with an open heart and willingness to learn.
